About Us
Upon graduating from Centre College in Kentucky, I accepted a regional sales manager position with a New York based company involved in the natural gas industry. For the next decade, I serviced gas utility companies and contractors in 6 states throughout the mid Atlantic while based in Annapolis, MD. Forging new business relationships, learning how to manage a vast sales territory and support my customer base proved invaluable in preparing me for what was to transpire next. In the summer of 2004, I made the difficult but calculated decision to leave Upsco and pursue a dream of starting my own business. In the fall of 2005, after extensive research of the stone industry and potential locations, Bean Stone, Custom Stone & Bronze, was established in Lexington, KY.
Securing a few key contracts within the first year with some high profile clients created some nice momentum and within 24 months Bean Stone was on solid ground.
You can find Bean Stone’s Commercial & Residential work in multiple states including: Kentucky, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North & South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D.C. and New York. We are a full service provider catering to horse farms, colleges, universities, prep and high schools, municipalities, state and federal government institutions, military posts and installations, airports, hotels and resorts, restaurants, sports venues, parks and recreation, banks, churches, hospitals, cemeteries, museums, country clubs, fire-police-veterans organizations, neighborhood associations and retirement communities. Bean Stone has allied itself with architectural firms, developers, and construction companies throughout the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast.
I value the entire process when meeting a new or existing customer from listening to their vision, offering my opinion on design and materials that would best suit that vision, establish a budget and timeline that are in line with the customer’s goals and expectations, create a plan via shop drawings or construction documents to reveal the customer’s vision and finally execute that plan completing the project on time and on budget.
